Pretty good, almost perfect

Was checking out options like Lever and JazzHR. Breezy HR's free trial was super helpful, especially for Automated Reference Checking. Wish they offered a 10% discount for annual plans directly, not just partner codes.

Good for managing applicants

I used Breezy HR for a few months to help with hiring for my small business, mostly for the Applicant Tracking System. It was pretty easy to get the job posts up and running, and I liked how it kept all the candidate info in one spot. The email templates were a lifesaver, saved me a bunch of time. I only hired for one role, but it made the process way less chaotic than doing it all manually. Definitely helped me keep track of who was who.

Easy to set up

I set up the Career Portal Builder. It was straightforward. Had it integrated quickly. The mobile app also worked well for reviewing candidates on the go. Simple and effective.

Consistent ATS experience

I've been using Breezy HR on and off for a couple of years now, whenever we have a hiring push. This last time, I signed up again for the full Applicant Tracking System and some of the Candidate Management tools. It's always been reliable; I know what to expect. The interface hasn't changed much, which is good – no learning curve every time. Previous orders were smooth, and this one was no different. I keep coming back because it just works for our needs without any fuss, and the Reporting and Analytics are actually useful for showing progress.

Thinking of trying Breezy HR for our small startup. We're currently using a bunch of spreadsheets and it's getting messy. Is the free version good enough to start with, or should we just go for a paid plan from day one?

P PoojaR 5 days ago ✓ Best Answer
The free version is definitely a good starting point to get a feel for it. It lets you manage one job, which is perfect for trying out the basic ATS features and candidate management. It's how we started.

Yeah, it's pretty solid for a free tier. You can even try their Chrome extension with it.

D Deepak91 5 days ago
That's exactly what I needed to hear! Just one job is fine for now.

M maxwell 5 days ago
I'd say start with the free version, then maybe upgrade to the 14-day free trial of a Pro plan. That way you can see the advanced features like video interviewing and automated stage actions without committing.

Good call on the Pro trial. Didn't think of that sequence. Thanks!

Yeah, the free trial is different from the free version, gives you access to more stuff.

For a startup, they also have a startup discount apparently. Might be worth asking about that when you're ready to commit.

Oh, nice! Will definitely look into that. Thanks!

Quick question on pricing, is that 15-20% off for annual plans just on specific tiers or across the board?

R Rosa Okafor 2 months ago
Pretty sure it's for all paid annual plans. It just applies automatically when you select the yearly option.
5
P Phil H. 2 months ago
Yep, it's a standard thing. You save a decent chunk by just paying for the year upfront instead of monthly.

Thinking of switching from Greenhouse, anyone else make that jump? How's Breezy compare for bigger teams?

B Ben Y. 2 months ago
Yeah, we did a few months ago. Breezy's pretty good for mid-sized stuff, the automation is slick. Greenhouse felt a bit clunkier for our daily flow.
5
N Nina M. 2 months ago
Honestly, depends on what you need. Greenhouse has some really deep analytics features that Breezy doesn't quite match, but Breezy's UI is way cleaner. For general ATS stuff, it's solid.

Does anyone know if Breezy HR has a free version that's actually usable for a tiny startup? Or is it just a glorified trial?

B Beth W. 2 months ago
They do have a free plan! It's pretty basic but fine for managing a couple of job openings and candidates. Good to get started.
5
T Tom Ito 2 months ago
Yeah, it's not a trial, it's an actual free tier. Limited features but enough to see if you like the system before committing.

Just got the renewal quote for our Breezy HR account, and it's quite a bit higher than last year. Anyone else seeing this? We're on a Pro plan, annual billing.

A AmitM 1 month ago
Yeah, mine went up too. I was expecting some increase but it felt like more than usual. Did you try contacting support about it?

R Rahul87 1 month ago
Same response I got. Felt a bit rigid for a long-term customer.

P PriyaS 1 month ago
I did. They mentioned something about feature updates and general price adjustments. Didn't really offer much flexibility though.

S Sneha22 1 month ago
Ours actually stayed pretty stable. We're on the Business plan and locked in for two years. Maybe that made a difference?

P PriyaS 1 month ago
Ah, we just did a single year. Maybe that's why. Next time I'll ask about longer terms.

C coolboy88 1 month ago
Following this. Our renewal is coming up in a couple months and I'm worried about this.

How easy is it to cancel a subscription if things don't work out? Don't want to get locked into anything.

N Noor A. 2 months ago
Super easy. Just go into your account settings and there's a cancel option. Did it once when we paused hiring for a bit.
6
C Chris K. 2 months ago
You can cancel anytime, afaik. No long-term contracts for monthly plans, and even annual plans usually just don't renew at the end of the term if you cancel beforehand.

My company is a non-profit. Do they offer any special discounts for that?

E Emma W. 2 months ago
I think I saw something about non-profit discounts in their FAQs. Might be worth reaching out to their sales team directly.
1
P Priya 2 months ago
Yeah, they definitely do! I know a few non-profits using Breezy that got a specific rate. You just have to ask.

Considering signing up, but I saw a mention of referral codes. Are those like, actual promo codes you can find, or more like internal stuff?

M Mia 1 month ago
Sometimes partners or influencers have them. I've seen a few floating around before. You usually enter it during checkout.
5
B Beth Patel 1 month ago
Mostly, you get the annual discount automatically. Referral codes are rarer, but they do exist if you're lucky. Not essential though, the annual saving is good enough.
